Your company can take and quick, free assessment to see how you rate with family-friendly practices. Your company can gain recognition for your efforts to support the whole life of your employees.

As you know, employers are finding that it’s not enough to only invest in employees during the hours they are on the job. Just as tensions from work may spill over into home life, we can carry our personal, family issues into the workplace, where they affect our stress levels, focus and productivity. Both work and family suffer when we don’t have enough flexibility and resources to meet all our responsibilities.

Research shows that family-friendly workplaces that offer flexibility, supportive benefits, resources and opportunities for advancement yield significant benefits in the form of increased productivity, improved employee loyalty and commitment, less frequent turnover, lower absenteeism and reductions in other costs.

WorkLife Partnership, along with Health Links (Colorado School of Public Health), EPIC (Executives Partnering to Invest in Children) and CDPHE (Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment), established a key partnership in Colorado to understand, support and promote family-friendly workplace policies and practices.

The Family-Friendly Workplace Assessment (FF+) identifies the needs and priorities of employers to create supportive environments for families–employees with children, aging parents, and other loved ones. The assessment is divided into four sections that address and gauge family-friendly culture, including Benefits and Leave, Flexibility, New Parents, and Communication, Education and Training.
