Training

We recognize the need for employers to engage in ongoing training for their employees in all areas of their organization. With this in mind, WorkLife Partnership offers a spectrum of in-person training options to be used in tandem with your company’s internal education, benefits, and continuous development programs. Trainings are open to any organization looking to enhance the skills and abilities of their teams.  All current employer members may participate in up to two trainings annually at no additional cost. Leadership & Management

R.I.S.E Presentation: Retention, Inclusion, Stability, and Engagement in the Workplace

Duration: 2 hours

Audience: Supervisors and Managers

Description:

Our flagship training provides an introduction to WorkLife’s retention strategies by investing in front-line workers and presenting WorkLife’s Sustainable Workforce Model. How are you including people from all socioeconomic levels in your organizational culture? How does stability and instability in the community and with our workers affect the bottom line? Broken systems and lack of resources affect an employer’s ability to do business. The bottom line benefits of employee engagement. Explore employer engagement trends to poverty prevention, workforce development, and economic development. Join the movement!

Goal: Increase awareness among leadership regarding economic challenges facing frontline staff and barriers to the employee’s on the job success.

S.M.A.R.T. Goal Setting for Successful Performance Evaluations

Duration: 2 hours

Audience: Supervisors and Managers

Developing sound goals is critical to managing your own and your employees’ performance.  Each year you will ask your employees to set goals for the upcoming year/evaluation period.  When you ask your employees to write their goals, teach them to create S.M.A.R.T. goals that support organizational goals.  A S.M.A.R.T. goal is one that is Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Results-focused and Time-bound.

Goal: Increased understanding amongst management staff of effective goal setting aligned to performance evaluations and increase employee productivity

Effective Management in the Workplace

Duration: 2 hours

Audience: Supervisors and Managers

Description:

Engaging employees in a positive and meaningful way is paramount to building and maintaining healthy workplace relationships. Practicing these skills regularly helps solidify those relationships and build a stronger organization. By the end of this training, participants will have reviewed their current techniques, learned and practiced new management skills, and feel more confident as they engage their employees.

Goal: Increased understanding amongst management of effective management, delegation, and their role as a manager within their organization.

Financial Health Workshops

Where Did My Dollar Go?

Duration: 1 hour

Audience: Front Line Employees

Description:

Ever return from the grocery store and wonder how you ended up with so much extra stuff? Ever wonder where your paycheck went and why you always seem short on cash? This class teaches participants engagement, awareness, and control practices outside of the budget.

Goal: Increased financial acumen of front-line employees.

More Month than Money

Duration: 1 hour

Audience: Front Line Employees

More Month than Money takes a more traditional approach by teaching practical ways to help individuals and families learn the basics of household budgeting and break the cycle of living paycheck to paycheck. In this training, our experienced financial coaches will provide tactics to help participants gain control over spending, develop saving behaviors and be able to reliably track budget changes.

Goal: Increased financial acumen and confidence of frontline staff.

Communication

Effective Workplace Communication

Duration: 1 hour

Audience: Front Line Employees

Description:

When employees are satisfied with their job, they are able to effectively perform their duties with a positive attitude. However, failing to communicate effectively in a workplace can lead to employee frustration and confusion.  In this training, we provide frontline staff with tools to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors in their daily work, during performance evaluations, and through times of conflict.

Goal: Increased development of communication soft skills leading to increased productivity and engagement.

Health Insurance Literacy Training

Health Insurance Vocabulary: Let’s Learn Terms!

Duration: 1 hour

Audience: Front Line Employees, Management

Description:

The cost of health insurance and unexpected medical costs are leading causes of stress for your frontline employees and workforce.  Come learn health insurance terminology to help build knowledge in relation to employer-sponsored health benefits.

Goal: Increased confidence in understanding and interpreting health insurance terminology

Understanding Network Tiers

Duration: 1 hour

Audience: All Staff

Finding the right healthcare provider can be a challenge. Choosing the wrong one can sometimes double your out-of-pocket costs. Gain a greater knowledge about the differences between using in-network versus out-of-network providers.

Goal: Increased ability to identify appropriate care providers and increased knowledge in understanding financial terms and responsibility.

Technical Training

Google in the Workplace

Duration: 2 hours

Audience: Front Line Employees

Description:

In our increasingly digital world, front line staff are required to use their own personal devices to help manage and organize their work and life.  Our Certified Google Instructor is able to arm front line staff with technical training on time management tools, email correspondence, and additional resources available through Google Suite to support their on-job productivity and engagement.

Goal: Increased technical skills of front line staff.
